Commonly Asked Questions about Meditation:

How does this work?

Meditation has been a healing practice for thousands of years. Recorded history of China and Japan going back as far as records exist, show the slowing of the mind through sitting still and focusing to be an effective aid in dealing with life. As a bonus, we can measure the physical response to meditation: blood pressure drops, heart rate and breathing slow down, nervous excitability lessens. Who would not benefit from that?!

Is it safe? Is it effective?

Meditation is completely safe. If sitting on the floor is uncomfortable for you, find a cushion, chair or lie down until you are able to be peaceful and focus your mind as the exercise unfolds.

What to expect?
