Jodi participated in a nutrition certificate program at the University of Lowell and has completed a program as a holistic health counselor, certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP) and is a graduate of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition which is affiliated with Columbia University in New York.
Jodi understands that eating well delivers many benefits. But eating right is just one part of the equation to happier and healthier living. Jodi utilizes a unique, personalized and holistic approach to supporting her clients by examining everything from food, to relationships to career (and more) so that you find balance in your life and help you achieve success.
Why did you become a Health Counselor?
My personal journey began more than 15 years ago when using conventional medicine for treatment of intestinal, panic and anxiety disorders. Over time it became apparent that conventional medicine is geared towards treating symptoms and not addressing the cause. This insight motivated me into investigating alternatives and seeking out training and education in search of a better way. My research lead me to a holistic approach which resonated with me as a means to eliminate many of the root causes of my illness and prevented these issues from becoming chronic. I now understand that disease is the result of a gradual breakdown and damage to our bodies caused by stress, unhappiness, lack of physical activity and poor diet.
