Dear Drs. Carney, Evans and Nordin,

I had treatment for ovarian cancer 16 years ago. Following successful conventional treatment, I have explored many alternative therapies, ranging from acupuncture to massage and orthomolecular medicine to yoga. About ten years ago I became interested in holistic dentistry and learned about mercury toxicity. My husband and I decided then it was important to “invest” in my future by having Dr. Evans remove all the mercury amalgam fillings I had had since the age of 17. Combined with changes in diet and nutrition and other paths to health and healing, I believe this has contributed to the many years I have enjoyed, treatment- and cancer-free. I am impressed with the programs you are offering through the Wellness Center and the Dental Spa. Congratulations on all you are doing to promote holistic health and healing!

I wanted to add, since I have been coming to see Dr. Carney almost bi-weekly for more than a year and it takes an hour for me to get to your office, that once I figured out that on Route 119 I could get food and household supplies I really began to look forward to the visits: The Natural Market in Groton Center, Spring Brook Farm in Littleton (www.springbrookfarmcountry.com), Trader Joe’s and Shaw’s in Acton. And having the Bistro open in the Wellness Center is the best! I appreciate the gluten-free items, great coffee, and excellent selection.

Dear Dr. Evans,

In May 2009, you changed my life! On that date you performed cavitation surgery in a location of a previously extracted tooth, (#3), along with the extraction of a tooth that had a root canal some years ago (#4). For approximately 20 years, I have been relentlessly trying to find the cause of my facial pain. I now finally know, with your help, along with the staff at The Groton Dental Wellness Spa, the source of my problem.

My history, I think, is typical of someone suffering from facial pain caused by cavitations. I had, what started as a discomfort on the right side of my face, then progressed to pain that went up to my right eye, through my cheek and sinus area, down my neck and into my right shoulder.

After over-the-counter pain medications no longer worked, I started to visit various doctor’s offices, looking for a cure, or at least, relief. The list of treatments I received included acupuncture, lymph node drainage therapy, physical therapy, pain management therapy, and chiropractic manipulation.

The procedures I had included sinus surgery, a root canal, and the removal of all of my mercury fillings. I also saw a neurologist who suggested I have a MRI. I was given pain medication, nerve medication and muscle relaxers. Still, after all of this, I continued to suffer constant facial pain.

After researching the effects of bone cavitations, I presented my case to you, and within weeks, you along with Dr. Lashner, preformed my surgery. Now, three months later, I am feeling so much better! As you know, my pathology report showed a bone infection and chronic inflammatory cells that would have probably made my condition even worse as time went on. I feel things can only improve from here.

I thank you tremendously for your surgical skill and dedication to the holistic approach to dentistry. You made a huge, positive difference in my life.

Hi There,

I thought Dr. Luby’s presentation was excellent – thorough, thought provoking and clear. I learned several new things and was glad I attended and will refer others to his lecture.

Also, I have been telling everyone of my experience with the Vit C IV. For at least three days afterward it felt like I had liquid sunshine running through my veins. Not only did I feel happy and elevated, I felt an internal strength and I my focus was greatly improved. I even had powerful dreams the first two nights. Millie told me to try to take it easy the next day so that my body could use the Vitamin C to do internal repair work, which I mostly did do except I had a training session with my personal weight trainer the next morning. About a 1/2 hour into our training session, my trainer asked what was going on with me. I told him about the Vit C IV and now he is signing up to try it. The thing I can't get over is how strong it made me feel and how many levels (emotionally, physically, spiritually) it allowed for that feeling of strength.

My experience may be partly due to how sensitive I am in taking in new essences and, I believe, it may also be due to how very much my body craved and needed the Vitamin C. I have been off sugar since I was 16 years old and rarely eat fruit because I react to the sugar in it. Not to neutralize my positive experience of this treatment but to help explain it to myself a bit, as another woman who got the same treatment the same evening told me she didn't feel anything the next day. Here I am feeling like I could lift a building and she didn't feel anything! So that was interesting to me. I conclude my body really needs it.

Please use any of my words to encourage others to try this. I can't say enough good things about it. It's been 8 days since my IV and I know I have shared my experience with more that 8 people already.

My trainer asked, "Do you think we could get them to open a satellite office here in Lexington?" I laughed and then wished we could. :)

“I don’t remember the last time I received any dental work that resulted in NO residual effect. Literally none, except good.

“During the cleaning Heidi removed some residual cement that had been used for the braces I once had. Those braces were removed over 15 years ago! “Dr. Nordin:  Hi!  I just want to thank so much you for the call you made to me Sunday, March 29.  I was asleep when you called - I didn't even hear the phone.  ... I feel I'm doing well.  The ride home, on the 27th, was uneventful.  The bleeding stopped fairly quickly.  Found it hard to drink anything for a few hours but that was ok.  Slept a lot on Saturday.  Felt exhausted but I had expected that. I did Reiki on the area so I really didn't need much at all for pain and the wound seems to be good - no tenderness, etc. I'm glad I chose the sedation.  It really lowered my anxiety.  You had said you wanted me in a place "where I didn't care" and I got there.  You're right about the amnesic aspect.  There are some things I remember and some I don't for the most part.  I do remember your coming in and saying "I'm really glad you're here".  Thank you for that too.  Please thank the whole dental team that provided service/care for me - I'm really grateful for the quality of care given to me.”
