Sarah Bernardi, MSN, FNP-BC, RN

Family Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse

Sarah Bernardi, MSN, FNP-BC, RN is a compassionate medical provider who specializes in Family Nurse Practitioner services for patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly. With advanced training, licensure, and experience she has the expertise to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions. She will order necessary lab and micronutrient testing, and prescribe medications combining her experience from herbalism, homeopathy, allopathic, and functional medicine disciplines.

At a young age, Sarah’s family switched to natural foods and medicine. Early on, she realized how much better she felt after making this change. This early exposure led her to become passionate about natural healing and inspired her to further her education through the National Center of Homeopathy. She also gained valuable experience working in a holistic pharmacy that transformed its focus from treating disease states to treating the whole person under the guidance of a Naturopathic Doctor and Registered Pharmacist, the late Dr. Jack Hinze (a Naturopath and Registered Pharmacist).

Sarah continued to advance her practice by obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Worcester, MA. Sarah learned valuable western medicine experience by working as an RN on a step-down unit at an area hospital for three years. That experience reinforced to her that disease is best treated at the root of the problem! From there she went back to the holistic pharmacy where she provided consults with families on their needs during preconception, pregnancy, breastfeeding, acute and chronic illness, allergies and more. She also educated customers about the importance of high-quality supplements and vitamins and how to differentiate between them.

Sarah’s personal experience managing her daughter’s food sensitivities and celiac disease and her unique experience of caring for children as a school nurse in the public school system during the pandemic provided a keen understanding of disease in children and its impact on their education and well-being.

Sarah combines her knowledge of naturopathic and allopathic medicine to help patients with a variety of conditions, including allergies, migraines, autoimmune disease, hormone imbalances, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, insomnia, and more. Treating those with any ailment is essential to meet the person where they are on their life journey. Sarah values the impact of gaining the patient’s trust and showing them empathy to help them choose to make a positive change over time as well as helping them through each of the stages of change.
